I worked as a consultant for
a Toronto law firm from 1999 to 2004, where my work was solely focused on the
immigration and refugee law.
After the introduction of IRPA, I decided to
gain formal education and joined the Immigration Practitioners Program at Seneca
College. Upon successful graduation with highest honours in 2004, I
established my own private practice which is in active operation until today's date.
My practice involves
representation of clients in all areas of immigration and refugee law including
all types of applications for immigrant visas and appeals before the
Immigration Appeal Division.
I am fluent in
English, French and Polish. Thanks to my multilingualism, I am able to
provide services to a diverse range of clients from different cultures and
backgrounds.
I have been
an active volunteer in the Immigration professional bodies. I served as a member
of the Educational Committee for CAPIC and presented several topics during
various CAPIC seminars. I have been also representing CAPIC before CBSA. In
addition, I am regularly acting as a mentor and provide guidance to other
consultants. I was volunteering for ICCRC since its inception until August of
2017 as the chair of one of DARC Committees.
Prior to coming to
Canada, I was awarded Master of Laws by the University of Warsaw. Later, I also
obtained a Postgraduate Diploma from Institute Europeen Des Hautes
Études Internationales in Nice, France and the Certificat D’Études Supérieures
des Communautes Européennes. I served as a court’s clerk at the Provincial Court
in Warsaw while completing my judicial training. In addition, I lectured at the University
of Warsaw as an assistant professor at the Institute of International Public
Law.
